Sometimes on a gray winter day, it is a fun idea to look back through pictures from the previous summer. When I look at all the colors in nature, it warms my heart.

The memories of summer days and the fluttering of butterfly wings bring smiles to my face!

A Snowy Day

An Unusual Snowy Day

Sometimes nature can send surprises! We live in Mississippi and rarely ever have snow. For the snow to accumulate and stick for two days was an interesting element for landscape photography. I loved how bright the light reflected off the snow. 

The reflections on the lake were amazing!

 

The Unexpected... A Barred Owl

 Early Morning Owl! 

While driving along a country road right after daylight, I saw a barred owl. The limited light gives the scene a moody and serene feeling.

Views of the "Wolf" Moon 2022

 It was a bright and clear night in Mississippi for the January full moon. The sky was beautifully clear and ready for the appearance of the majestic moon.

I took these pictures with the Nikon P900. They are cropped, and I reduced the light in one of the pictures when I cropped the image.

This morning at approximately 6:30 I took pictures of a different view as the moon prepares to disappear for the day.
