Digital Scrapbooking Sandhill Cranes

 Fun with digital scrapbook pages!

Migratory Sandhill Cranes...

 Amazing to watch!

I enjoy watching the flocks filled with thousands of migratory sandhill cranes in our area each winter.

These cranes fly into Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge each winter and flock from the mudflats, fields, and lakes.

Insects and Macro Photography

I enjoy trying to snap photos of insects.

It is harder than you may think!

I use a Sigma Aspherical lens and a variety of Nikon lenses.

I enjoy watching small things in my garden.

A quick get-a-way is sometimes necessary. LOL

I Miss Watching Butterflies!

I watched a couple of butterflies this week. I could not get my camera fast enough to get a picture. The next best thing is to post a few from last year!

I can hardly wait until the lantanas are blooming again because
the butterflies swarm to those blooms!

Nesting Season!

Springtime is like the opening of a new doorway for life. Not only do humans look forward to a new season but the birds are chirping with glee!

Look around your yard, street, neighborhood, and city parks for a variety of birds. Backyard birds may be different than the variety of birds you may see at a city park.
I have even seen differing bird species at a neighbor's house than at my own. It is a matter of environment, food sources, and habitat for nesting and roosting.

Go Birdwatching!

Birdwatching is a wonderful hobby that can grab your interest and soon you will have an app on your phone and start looking for a small camera to take with you on your daily walks.

Before you know what has happened you will look around and see you have purchased a higher-end camera and a huge lens! Yes, I am talking from experience.

I enjoy walking and hiking surrounding parks, wildlife refuges, wildlife management areas, and day trips to 'respectfully' stalk birds and wildlife with a camera.
